Description

A fun twist on the classic Shepherd’s Pie featuring a rich filling of ground beef and vegetables topped with crispy waffle fries and melted cheese.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup frozen peas and carrots
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 bag frozen waffle fries
  • 1 cup shredded cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Sauté the onion and garlic until translucent.
  3. Cook the ground beef, breaking it up until browned.
  4. Mix in the peas and carrots, cooking for a few minutes.
  5. Add the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, followed by thyme and simmer.
  6. Assemble the filling in a baking dish and top with waffle fries.
  7. Add shredded cheese on top.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes until fries are crispy.
  9. Let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
