Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef (or turkey)
  • 1 cup uncooked rice (white or brown)
  • 1 can (15 oz) marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup pepperoni slices
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooking oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the rice according to package instructions.
  3. Sauté the ground beef with oil, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning until browned.
  4. Add the marinara sauce and simmer for 3-5 minutes.
  5. Combine the cooked rice with the meat and sauce mixture.
  6. Assemble the mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
  7. Add pepperoni slices on top.
  8. Cheese it up by sprinkling shredded mozzarella over everything.
  9. Bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes, until bubbly.
