- 4 large Bell Peppers
- 1 cup Elbow Macaroni
- 1 cup Pizza Sauce
- 1 cup Ground Beef or Turkey
- 1 ½ cups Mozzarella Cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian Seasoning
- ½ teaspoon Garlic Powder
- Salt & Pepper (to taste)
- 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the elbow macaroni in salted boiling water until al dente, drain, and set aside.
- Brown the ground meat in a skillet with olive oil until cooked through, then drain excess fat.
- Combine the cooked pasta, browned meat, pizza sauce, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and 1 cup of mozzarella cheese in a large bowl.
- Prep the peppers by cutting off the tops and removing seeds.
- Stuff each pepper with the pizza mac mixture and top with remaining mozzarella cheese.
- Bake the peppers in a dish with a little water covered in foil for 25 minutes.
- Uncover and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Feel free to use a mix of bell pepper colors for a vibrant dish.
