Description

A comforting dish combining tacos and grilled cheese, perfect for busy weeknights!


Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 Tortillas (Flour or Corn)
  • 1 lb Ground Beef or Ground Turkey
  • 2 cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • 2 tbsp Taco Seasoning
  • 1 cup Salsa
  • 1 cup Sour Cream
  • Toppings (Lettuce, Tomatoes, Olives, Avocados, etc.)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Brown the meat in a large skillet over medium heat for about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Prep a greased 9×13 inch baking dish and lay down a layer of tortillas.
  4. Layer half of the meat mixture, then half of the cheese, and spread the salsa over the cheese.
  5. Repeat the layering process with remaining ingredients.
  6. Finish with a final layer of tortillas and cheese.
  7. Bake covered with foil for 20 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes.
  8. Garnish with fresh toppings and serve.

Notes

Make it ahead of time and refrigerate, then bake from cold, adding a few extra minutes.
