Instructions

  1. Prep your ingredients: Chop onion, garlic, and ginger, and grate fresh ginger if used.
  2. Sauté the aromatics: Heat olive oil in a skillet, add onion, garlic, and ginger, and sauté until fragrant and golden, about 3-5 minutes.
  3. Seal in the flavor: Add chicken pieces to the skillet, browning each side for about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Infuse the rice: Stir in turmeric powder and add brown rice, mixing everything together for another minute.
  5. Add the liquid: Pour in vegetable broth and bring to a gentle boil, scraping up any bits from the bottom.
