Ingredients

  • 8 oz Spaghetti
  • 24 oz Tomato Sauce
  • 1 lb Ground Beef or Turkey
  • 1 medium Onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 2 cups Cheese, shredded mozzarella
  • 2 tsp Italian Seasoning
  • Salt and Pepper, to taste
  • Fresh Basil (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare your campfire.
  2. Cook the pasta by boiling a pot of water over the fire, then adding the spaghetti and cooking for 8-10 minutes.
  3. Sauté the onion and garlic in a skillet over the fire.
  4. Add the ground meat to the pan and cook until browned.
  5. Mix in the tomato sauce and seasoning, simmering for 5 minutes.
  6. Combine the cooked spaghetti with the sauce.
  7. Cheesy layering by mixing in half the cheese and topping with the rest.
  8. Bake over the fire for 15-20 minutes until the cheese is bubbly.
  9. Serve hot and garnish with fresh basil if desired.
