Ingredients
- Pita bread
- Tomato sauce
- Shredded cheese
- Pepperoni or your choice of protein
- Vegetables (bell peppers, onions, spinach)
- Olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Prepare the pita by gently slicing it in half.
- Spread a generous layer of tomato sauce inside each pocket.
- Layer a sprinkle of shredded cheese over the sauce.
- Add your choice of protein and chopped veggies.
- Top with a final sprinkle of cheese and a drizzle of olive oil.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
Serve with fresh basil leaves and marinara sauce for dipping. Great with a green salad on the side.
