- 4 cups All-Purpose Flour
- 2 ¼ tsp Active Dry Yeast
- 1 ½ cups Warm Water
- 1 tsp Salt
- ⅓ cup Baking Soda
- 1 Egg (for egg wash)
- 200g Sharp Cheddar Cheese
- 150g Cream Cheese
- 150g Brie Cheese
- 1 cup Grapes
- 1 cup Mixed Nuts
- 100g Slice of Prosciutto
- Honey or Mustard (for dipping)
Instructions
- Activate the yeast by mixing it with warm water and letting it sit until frothy.
- Mix together the flour and salt in a large bowl.
- Combine the yeast mixture with the dry ingredients and knead the dough until smooth.
- Let the dough rise in a greased bowl until doubled in size.
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Prepare a baking soda bath in boiling water.
- Shape the pretzels and drop them into the baking soda water for 30 seconds.
- Egg wash the pretzels and sprinkle with coarse salt.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
- Let pretzels cool, then assemble on the board with sliced cheeses, grapes, nuts, and prosciutto.
- Place small bowls of honey and mustard on the board for dipping.
