Ingredients

  • 4 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 2 ¼ tsp Active Dry Yeast
  • 1 ½ cups Warm Water
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • ⅓ cup Baking Soda
  • 1 Egg (for egg wash)
  • 200g Sharp Cheddar Cheese
  • 150g Cream Cheese
  • 150g Brie Cheese
  • 1 cup Grapes
  • 1 cup Mixed Nuts
  • 100g Slice of Prosciutto
  • Honey or Mustard (for dipping)

Instructions

  1. Activate the yeast by mixing it with warm water and letting it sit until frothy.
  2. Mix together the flour and salt in a large bowl.
  3. Combine the yeast mixture with the dry ingredients and knead the dough until smooth.
  4. Let the dough rise in a greased bowl until doubled in size.
  5. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  6. Prepare a baking soda bath in boiling water.
  7. Shape the pretzels and drop them into the baking soda water for 30 seconds.
  8. Egg wash the pretzels and sprinkle with coarse salt.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Let pretzels cool, then assemble on the board with sliced cheeses, grapes, nuts, and prosciutto.
  11. Place small bowls of honey and mustard on the board for dipping.
