Description

A light and airy mousse with the warm, spiced flavors of chai tea and a protein boost. Perfect for desserts and gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup chai tea (strong blend)
  • 1 tablespoon gelatin (or vegan alternative)
  • 3 tablespoons cold water
  • 1 cup heavy cream (or dairy-free alternative)
  • 2 tablespoons sweetener (honey, maple syrup, or stevia)
  • 1 scoop protein powder (whey, pea, or casein)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Brew about 1 cup of strong chai tea and let it cool.
  2. Sprinkle 1 tablespoon of gelatin over 3 tablespoons of cold water and let it bloom for 5 minutes.
  3. Heat the brewed chai tea and dissolve the bloomed gelatin in it.
  4. Whip 1 cup of heavy cream until soft peaks form, adding sweetener while whipping.
  5. Slowly pour the chai mixture into the whipped cream, folding gently.
  6. Fold in the protein powder, spices, and vanilla extract until combined.
  7. Chill in serving glasses for at least 2 hours before serving.

Notes

Serve with toppings like cinnamon, chocolate shavings, or fresh fruits. Can be made a day in advance.
