Ingredients
Scale
- 3 ripe pears (Bartlett or Bosc)
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 scoop vanilla or unflavored protein powder
- 1 cup Greek yogurt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon

- Caramelize the pears: Heat a skillet over medium heat and melt the butter. Add the sliced pears and gently toss them around.
- Add the sugar: Sprinkle the brown sugar over the pears and allow it to melt and bubble for about 5-7 minutes.
- Flavor it up: Sprinkle in the cinnamon and add the lemon juice, then sauté for another minute until the pears are tender.
- Blend the silk: Transfer the caramelized pears to a bowl to cool, then combine Greek yogurt, protein powder, and vanilla extract in a blender.
- Combine: Gently fold the cooled caramelized pears into the creamy mixture.
- Chill: Transfer the mixture to serving bowls and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
Notes
For added richness, consider using coconut oil as a dairy-free alternative for butter. Swapping Greek yogurt for coconut yogurt makes this recipe completely vegan.
