Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups All-Purpose Flour
- ¾ cup Warm Water
- 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
- ½ teaspoon Salt
- 1 pound Ground Lamb or Beef
- 1 medium Onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves Garlic, minced
- ¼ cup Tomato Paste
- ½ cup Fresh Parsley, chopped

Instructions
- Prepare the dough: In a large bowl, combine the warm water and olive oil. If using yeast, let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy. Gradually add flour and salt, mixing until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough: On a floured surface, knead the dough for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic. Cover and let it rest for 30 minutes.
- Prepare the topping: In a bowl, combine the ground lamb (or beef), onion, garlic, tomato paste, parsley, and spices. Mix until evenly combined.
- Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C).
- Roll out the dough: Divide into 12 pieces, roll into balls, and flatten to about ¼ inch thick.
- Assemble the lahmacun bites: Place rolled dough on a baking sheet, spread the meat mixture on each, leaving a small border.
- Bake: Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden and meat is cooked through.
- Serve & enjoy: Let cool for a minute, serve warm, and top with herbs or yogurt sauce if desired.
