Instructions

  1. Prepare the Tomatoes: Start by washing your tomatoes thoroughly to remove any dirt. Slice them about ¼-inch thick and sprinkle with salt in a colander. Let them sit for about 30 minutes.
  2. Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  3. Blind Bake the Crust: If you’re making your own pie crust, roll it out and place it in a pie dish. Poke holes in the bottom and bake for about 10 minutes.
  4. Prepare the Filling: Mix together your mayonnaise, shredded cheese, black pepper, fresh basil, and onion powder in a mixing bowl.
