Ingredients
- Fresh Nectarines (about 6 medium)
- All-Purpose Flour (1 ½ cups)
- Granulated Sugar (¾ cup + 1 tablespoon)
- Butter (½ cup, unsalted)
- Lemon Juice (1 tablespoon)
- Cinnamon (1 teaspoon)
- Salt (¼ teaspoon)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Wash and slice your nectarines thinly. Toss them in a bowl with 1 tablespoon of sugar and lemon juice. Let sit for 10 minutes.
- Combine the flour, ¾ cup sugar, and salt in a mixing bowl. Add the cold, cubed butter and mix until it resembles coarse crumbs.
- Press half of the crumb mixture into the bottom of a greased 9-inch tart pan.
- Distribute the nectarine mixture evenly over the crust and pour the juices from the bowl over the nectarines.
- Top with the remaining crumb mixture evenly over the nectarines.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until golden and bubbly. Cover edges with foil if browning too quickly.
- Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before removing.
Notes
Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. For extra flair, drizzle with honey or caramel sauce.
