Description

A delightful summer tart featuring ripe nectarines and a crumbly topping, perfect for warm days and sweet memories.

Ingredients

  • Fresh Nectarines (about 6 medium)
  • All-Purpose Flour (1 ½ cups)
  • Granulated Sugar (¾ cup + 1 tablespoon)
  • Butter (½ cup, unsalted)
  • Lemon Juice (1 tablespoon)
  • Cinnamon (1 teaspoon)
  • Salt (¼ teaspoon)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Wash and slice your nectarines thinly. Toss them in a bowl with 1 tablespoon of sugar and lemon juice. Let sit for 10 minutes.
  3. Combine the flour, ¾ cup sugar, and salt in a mixing bowl. Add the cold, cubed butter and mix until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Press half of the crumb mixture into the bottom of a greased 9-inch tart pan.
  5. Distribute the nectarine mixture evenly over the crust and pour the juices from the bowl over the nectarines.
  6. Top with the remaining crumb mixture evenly over the nectarines.
  7. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until golden and bubbly. Cover edges with foil if browning too quickly.
  8. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before removing.

Notes

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. For extra flair, drizzle with honey or caramel sauce.
