Ingredients
- Cornmeal (1 cup)
- All-Purpose Flour (1 cup)
- Baking Powder (1 tbsp)
- Salt (1/2 tsp)
- Sugar (2 tbsp)
- Milk (1 cup)
- Egg (1 large)
- Shredded Cheese (1 cup)
- Toppings of your choice (pepperoni, bell peppers, onions, etc.)
- Hot Honey (to drizzle)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Mix the cornmeal, flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar in a large bowl.
- Combine the milk and egg in another bowl.
- Combine the wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.
- Add the shredded cheese into the mixture.
- Prepare a greased 12-inch cast-iron skillet or pizza pan.
- Pour the cornbread batter into the dish and spread evenly.
- Add your favorite toppings.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden brown.
- Drizzle hot honey over the top immediately after baking.
- Let it cool for 5–10 minutes before slicing.
- Slice and serve warm.
